This was a great shoot for me – not only was I interested in the product in hand, but one of Simon’s bikes* (the one without the engine!). We shot in a few places in rural Worcestershire and had some fun getting some action shots.  Why am I interested in the Oxygen product? Because I suffer with Cluster Headaches, something that potentially this product could do something for. However, I’m not sure a can would last very long at the rate needed to inhale for relief! However, for sports training which is precisely what these videos show, it seems to be extremely effective.

Filming on behalf of Enterprise Nation, we produced a short clip of voxpops from the event.

The Helen E Beauty Cubes have just been released, and I had a sample of them (seeing as I produced all 15 of the DVD’s for them), and have to say, really impressed with them. The packaging is superb and a lot of effort has gone into these.

So what are they? Essentially, 15 small cubes with a tutorial DVD and the all the necessary products to make that particular look. There are looks to suit every occassion, from the everyday ’smokey eyes’ to the more elegant ‘red carpet’ for that evening/dinner out. Prices start from £15, which is incredibly good value for money, considering you get ALL the products inside to create the look.

For the record, no I haven’t tried any of them. If I were a girl, I’m not sure I could contain the excitement!

During the last year, I’ve hired a studio twice. Every other shoot has been on location in a client’s office, warehouse or broom cupboard (literally!). With the mobility of technology, backdrops and other brilliant inventions, we travel up and down the country every week with our mobile studio.

Having the use of a studio, is no doubt, brilliant. There are positives and negatives with everything, and I think the biggest challenge I’ve found filming in studios, is the natural reverb you get, usually because of high ceilings and open spaces. This obviously causes hurdles to jump over if filming interviews/talking heads etc. The best factor is the space there usually is, the flexibility in terms of lighting and not being restricted.

The beauty of being mobile like us, is you can be setup in a relatively small space, within 30 minutes, ready to film. The results are just as good as filming in a larger studio, its uncanny.

Filming at you’re own premises will save you costs and time; two factors that you should consider next time you commission that corporate video.

And, we’ve done it. 15 DVD’s have been produced giving clear instructions on how to achieve a desired look.

Been in London today, at BT centre, filming the EN Conference 09.

For those attending, the price of the ticket was such a small price to pay for an immense amount of business knowledge and advice by top keynote speakers.

Doug Richard kick started the morning by giving an amazing keynote on Sales & Marketing with an excellent spin on using video to accelerate your online marketing.  I will write more on some key points of using online video, and DIY video at a later date. Other great speakers included Mark Dixon (CEO of Regus) and a media panel of journalists and editors.

We filmed the event and highlights will be available soon on the Enterprise Nation website

And finally, snippets of the Home Business Roadtrip were shown for the very first time to delegates throughout the day on key themes that the day highlighted. We also put together a short promo which was played on the vast ammount of plasma screens in the entrance to BT Centre!

Time for some sleep.

Not sure what this will turn into, if anything, but we’ll give it a try! So, here’s to our blog!
